Why This Framework
The Immersive Experience Economy framework did not begin as an academic exercise. It emerged from a practical frustration: after a decade of building, funding, and evaluating immersive experience ventures, there was still no shared language for comparing them.
Every pitch deck invented its own metrics. Every due diligence process started from scratch. Every industry report measured something different. The result was an ecosystem where gut feeling substituted for evidence, and where genuinely excellent operators could not demonstrate their excellence in terms that crossed sector boundaries.
The framework proposed on this site is an attempt to fix that — not by imposing a standard from above, but by deriving metrics from the physical reality of what immersive experiences do: consume energy and space to produce moments of human experience.
